Meeting Diana Al-Hadid

I think Diana’s visit to our class was the most engaging. She was able to share with the class her creative and structural process when working in her studio. We were actually given a brief tour before having the opportunity to ask questions. What I enjoyed the most about Diana is that she did not filter out what she was saying, and did not backtrack or hesitate either. I liked that she talked about her own creative ruts and how she breaks through them or avoids them and just focuses on herself. It was refreshing for her to say that the work that we create now doesn’t define us, and how we should only try to continue to try to practice because of this quarantine because our styles will only keep evolving.
