Hasan opened the lecture by asking us about our IPhones, and how much access we allow it to give us. I didn’t think much of it until I went into my settings and saw the data that my phone has gathered from my travels. Even when taking photos it knew every spot I had been in.
Prior to meeting Hasan, I watched his Ted talk about how he was being watched and interrogated by the FBI, and since then he had been creating art that has related to that experience.
His dialogue really intrigued me and made me question how much I comply with a piece of technology.
